Dr. Behnke was born and raised in Harbor Beach, MI. She graduated from Harbor Beach Community Schools in 2007 and attended Central Michigan University where she earned her Bachelors in Communication Disorders and Doctorate of Audiology. During Graduate school Dr. Behnke had several internship rotations including the Aleda E Lutz VA Medical Center and a non-profit in San Francisco, CA. She began at Grosse Pointe Audiology in 2015 to fulfill her 4th year externship requirements and worked there for six years before moving home and opening Thumb Audiology in May of 2021. In 2020 Dr. Behnke was nominated a top 3 finalist in the Detroit Free Press Best of the Best Audiologist. Since opening in 2021, she has earned the Huron Daily Tribune's Reader's Choice Award four years in a row!
Dr. Behnke is passionate about educating her patients about hearing loss and determining the best course of action for each individual.
She primarily sees adults, but will see children five years of age and up. She is also contracted with the schools on Fridays to provide services to children with hearing loss!
She sees patients in the Bad Axe office Monday-Thursday. Beginning in January she will be seeing patients one Friday a month in the Sandusky office.
Angela Lasecki, Au.D., graduated in 2017 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Disorders. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Wayne State University in 2021.
Dr. Lasecki worked for a private practice for two years before moving home.
A longtime Sandusky resident, Dr. Lasecki feels very fortunate to serve the residents of Sanilac County for their hearing needs. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crocheting, spending time with her family, her husband, Tristan, and her dog Cash.
Dr. Lasecki sees patients in our Sandusky office Monday through Thursday.
Nancy is our patient care coordinator that manages all tasks with grace! She joined the practice in February of 2024.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter.
Fun fact-Nancy has a Masters in human resource which made Dr. Behnke's first ever round of interviewing especially interesting!
Nancy works at our Bad Axe location, but receives many of the calls from our Sandusky location as well!
